As Robert Sessley Jr. reflects on the past year, he’s amazed and proud of the team he has developed. A strong team is crucial to a successful, sustainable business, and he feels the current Sessley Building Services team is hardworking, talented and dedicated to upholding the high standards the company has had from the beginning. “This time last year, we only had 1-3 employees,” says Robert Sessley Jr. “Now, we have around 13. Sessley Building Services Makes Connections, Earns Certifications and Thrives in Collaboration
As Sessley Building Services looks to the future, many exciting developments are in place that will lead to future growth and continue our mission of diversity, equity and inclusion. One of the most noteworthy is our MBE state certification. We have also applied for MBE certification from the City of Columbus and SBE designation from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). “We are incredibly excited about receiving the state MBE certification, and we are making sure to carefully evaluate the certifications we want next,” says Robert Sessley Jr. “We don’t need to get them all at once. “When a client becomes a friend, you have a client for life.” Robert Sessley, Sr. Robert Sessley, Jr. was just twelve years old when he started his construction career. As an apprentice in his father’s remodeling business, young Robert was charged with various tasks and a lot of clean-up work. He spent his early years learning the value of hard work and earning the trust of his father. By fifteen, Robert proved he was ready to take on a larger role in the business and was given significant responsibility.
